NBA All-Stars were gift-wrapped in limited edition Canada Goose downs.
Toronto welcomed the NBA to its first ever-international all-star game this past weekend and befittingly, the star studded even was styled for the Canadian cold.
As a congratulatory gesture extreme weather outfitter Canada Goose created limited edition down parkas just for the NBA’s elite.
The Macmillan parka, of the brand’s Spring ’16 collection was designed in a Carbon Camo for the Eastern Conference All-Stars and in a Classic Camo for the Western All-Stars. Each jacket was fitted with a special embroidered congratulatory note from Canada Goose on the inside plus the 2016 All-Star patch on the arm.
“It’s the first year ever that the All-Star Game is outside of the United States. It’s the first time it’s in Toronto. We’re a cold city, we make cold-weather products. I personally love basketball. We were like, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if the best basketball players in the world came to play here and we, on behalf of all Canadians, could keep them warm?'” says Canada Goose CEO Dani Reiss.
Canada Goose has previously teamed with OVO, Drake’s personal brand on collaborative jackets. Drake, who was at the epicenter of the event emceeing, party hosting as well as coaching the Eastern Conference team, was arguably the winner of the exhibition game, along with the city of Toronto who are now standouts as one of the most stylish All-Star hosts.
