Lebron James is not just “King” of the court, but arguably of style (and lifelong contracts). After signing a deal with the kings of sportswear ‘til (literally) death do them part, it seems only fitting that James would be the man to introduce Nike’s Spring 2016 Knit Tech Collection.
During an interview with Hypebeast, The Akron-born Cavaliers star boasted that his “style is all about confidence…When you look good, you play good. And I’ve always believed in that. I feel like if my uniform looks good and is right on track, it’s going to help my performance.” Lebron shouted out Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson as others who dress very well, and if they believe in the same creed, it’s no wonder they’ve made a name for themselves as well in the NBA.
Nike’s Tech Collections outdo themselves every season, and this year is no different. The collection includes the Tech Knit Windrunner and Tech Knit Pant (which Lebron said are one piece which he “like[s] most”). Priced at $250 and $200, respectively, they are just a couple of pieces that have been constructed through computer programming to maintain not only their fit, but strength, warmth, and breathability. The collection in its entirety will be available at Nike.com and stores on January 26th.
