NFL Fantasy STYLE Team

Style Points

Written by Derek D in Athletes Fashion,NFL Style on Nov 17th 2015

If we could assemble our own NFL fantasy team of just stylish players, this is what it would look like. This is our winning roster, a squad of ballers with great taste and swagger off the field.

Think not? Who would your team consist of?

QB – Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers

The Panther’s undefeated record this year is most definitely because of the sharpness of their QB. Newton has been GQ fierce both on and off the field.

QB – Tom Brady – New England Patriots

A staple of the post-game podium game, Brady sets the tone from the red carpet to the Kentucky Derby, even at his own suspension hearing.

RB – Reggie Bush – San Francisco 49ers

Varying from the loud, colorful look of many of his contemporaries, Bush is setting trends for player’s off the field dress code with a more sophisticated Oxford look.

RB – Arian Foster – Houston Texans

Although out with injury, the Texans franchise Running Back has been active in the style game, very much dressing the part of his spiritual philosopher persona.

WR – Victor Cruz – New York Giants

The undisputed champ of NFL style, see every fashion magazine from New York to Paris for further reference.

WR – Demaryius Thomas – Denver Broncos

Denver’s star Wide Receiver is quiet, smart and the king of the cardigan with fitted print suit look.

TE – Mercedes Lewis – Jacksonville Jaguars

These past few years the Jacksonville Jaguars have really struggled to gain a winning record,or any national TV appearances. On a good note, their TE Mercedes Lewis gets major points for his fresh modern eclectic style. He’s an underrated athlete on and off the field, his cool style should be getting much more press. The 6’6 275 lbs baller dresses flawlessly in either a tailored suit, or he’ll keep it casual in some destruct denims and a fitted.

The deal is in the details. #mensfashion

CB – Richard Sherman – Seattle Seahawks

One of the most polarizing figures in today’s sports world, the only thing more outrageous and captivating than his twitter game is his off-the-field dress jackets

CB – Joe Haden – Cleveland Browns

Part of the new-school athlete style, the Brown’s shutdown corner is well versed on trailblazing companies like Givenchy, Balmain, not typical but refreshing among Cleveland’s usual blue collars.

SS – Kam Chancellor – Seattle Seahawks

Bam Bam Kam, one of the most physical defensive players in the game surprisingly takes more to an urban-euro look. Also, Check out the guy’s IG, it’s a Renaissance of style.

What a Game!!! Great Team Win… #prayers for @ricardolockette 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 #warrior #Seahawks

FS – Malcolm Jenkins – Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagle’s ball hawk safety brought the New Orleans French Quarter Style, as well as, his Jazz inspired bow tie line Rock Avenue, to blend with the East Coast and the Philly secondary

LB – Von Miller – Denver Broncos

Hopefully he has enough left over after the NFL fines for his hilarious post-sack dances to buy more trendsetting hats and this Colorado-born author hopes he can see Super Bowl 50 through his chic hipster glasses

LB – Clay Matthews – Green Bay Packers

Quickly becoming a style icon, appearing in films, as one of the new faces of Hugo Boss and on the cover of recent GQ and Esquire issues. How he is not endorsing more hair care products is an outrage.

DE – J.J. Watt – Houston Texans

The Texans star Defensive End is bringing classic looks like the Montauk plaid with Island jacket and chinos, as the face of menswear line Mizzen + Main.

Special Teams

K/P – Steve Weatherford – New York Jets/Free Agent

Although punters rarely end up in the fashion spotlight, maybe because of wearing
two different cleats on the field but the Jet’s fan-favorite punter has been outstanding in his off duty style efforts, even on the catwalk for New York charities.

I'm baaaaaaack!!!! Incredibly blessed and thankful. #NYProud

Coming In HOT! 🍠🌽🍗🍅 I spent the better part of the afternoon with @dr_oz in studio filming a healthy cooking segment. One of my life's greatest fulfillments is helping people empower themself with the knowledge needed to live a happier, healthier, more productive life. We are all so busy with our careers, providing for our families that we neglect to invest in the most important thing in life… Our HEALTH! People say, "spending time with your family is more important than anything else". I vehemently disagree!!! Spending time taking care of YOU is the most important thing. If you want to be the best father, wife, brother, uncle, grandmother you can be you have to be fit, you have to be healthy. The greatest gift you can give someone is "your best self". If I want my wife to be happy and my kids to be their best I want to give them MY "best self", so I choose to eat healthy, train daily, and take time to invest in my own health to ensure I can be there with them well into the later stages of life. Big thank you to @cherylcrowley and the Dr. Oz team for having myself and my partner @therealmusclechef on the show today. It will be on December 2:) Set your DVR! It will be a great segment! #Blessed @elcuisine
