If it wasn’t for professional sports and its inspirational athletes, we might not have Vintage Frames Company.

“My favorite athlete in the world, who kind of sparked my fashion interest, was Bo Jackson,” says Corey Shapiro, Founder/CEO of Vintage Frames Company

With over 15 years in the game as an eyewear purveyor, Shapiro’s tasteful collection and eye for frames are cosigned by the myriad of celebrities and pro athletes who shop at Vintage Frames. “Anyone who wants really unique product, kind of has to come to us,” says Shapiro.

Shapiro’s expertise is to source rare and collectible designer branded frames from the 1960’s to mid-2000’s which he cleans-up and sells to his network of celebrity clients and everyday people.

Shapiro’s roster of athlete clientele includes superstars John Wall (NBA,) Demarcus Cousins (NBA,) and Cam Newton (NFL.) “When I meet with an athlete, I usually fly out with about a thousand pair of glasses I’ve chosen for them.”

We got to know “The Man Behind The Frames,” a bit better during his time in Los Angeles for Rémy Martin’s MVP Experience during NBA All-Star Weekend 2018.

For our meet, Shapiro (who is a very fashionable gentleman might we add) donned an exclusive Rémy Martin x Chalk Line jacket he collaborated with the Rémy Martin brand to design for All-Star Weekend.
