The national non-profit GENYOUth and celebrity chefs Carla Hall, Andrew Zimmern, and Tim Love are teaming up with Taste of NFL @Home, which is a culinary experience determined to fight childhood hunger. With the current state of affairs, food insecurity is more prevalent than ever. The reimagined, interactive format will be broadcasted live from Tampa Bay ahead of the Super Bowl and aims to entice fans of football and food around the country. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Taste of the NFL was established in 1992 by Wayne Kostroski.
“The pandemic has elevated an issue that was already mission critical – childhood hunger – to unprecedented levels, with 1 in 4 kids in the U.S. now living in food insecurity. Schools continue to be anchors of community feeding, but they need additional resources to deliver and distribute meals during the pandemic,” said Alexis Glick, CEO of GENYOUth.
For a donation of $100, you will get access to the livestream, access to a customized game day menu with an itemized shopping list, and the opportunity to cook virtually alongside the chefs, as well as a number of other goodies.
