The very stylish Chandler Parsons sat down with Hypebeast to discuss how he has become one of the best dressed players in the NBA (and arguably in all professional sports.)
The Mavericks forward admits that he hasn’t always worn the “very tailored, very European” apparel that he is so well known for. The Florida born athlete has gone through many phases, citing the tall-tees and baggy pants, or the surfer (complete with the Puka shell necklace) styles as some of his most regrettable. After learning a thing or two over the years, he now mentions Balmain, Public School, and Fear of God as some of his favorite designers.
Parsons, in this year in particular, has had a very busy off-season. He had knee-surgery for an injury which put his last season to an end, rehabbed, and still spent (and spends) time looking for fashion-focused collaboration opportunities. Most notably, he has teamed up with Del Toro Shoes to create the 2.0 collection, including the “Navy Nappa Limited Edition Collaboration Molto Alto Driver.” The Italian handmade shoes are just one of the many pairs created, and feature his signature on the top side of the tongue, and his number (38) embroidered underneath. The high-tops go for $375 a pair.
Though his stats aren’t too impressive as of yet, the Dallas Mavericks are fourth in the ultra-competitive Western Conference. So long as basketball remains his “first priority”, it should be safe to say that Parsons and the boys should uphold their spot as playoff contenders.
