This past week we took a trip down to East Rutherford, New Jersey to cover an exclusive menswear pop-up shop for the New York Giants curated by Los Angeles-based Men’s Stylist Rocio Doyle of Lucia Rocio.
The Pop-up event was held in the midst of Giants Training Camp at the Hilton Meadowlands, located within walking distance from the New York Giants practice facility and stadium.
Rocio’s aesthetically pleasing menswear space featured custom designed collection by Lucia Rocio paired with an array of L.A. based brands–Oublier (Contemporary Big & Tall,) PSC (Suiting Accessories,) John Geiger (Footwear,) and Wolfe & Shepherd (Footwear.) Rocio was gracious enough to let More Than Stats have our brand merchandise on display as well. Thank you very much!
Following Training Camp players had the opportunity to visit Rocio’s space to be fitted for Rocio Doyle custom pieces and request orders from the brands on display. During our visit, John Jerry (guard) and D.J. Fluker (guard) of the New York Giants stopped by the pop-up. Both gentlemen were huge, standing at 6’5″ and weighing over 300lbs. Finding clothes has to be a strenuous task for John and D.J., Working with Rocio is definitely the route to go for these two Giants (no pun intended.)
Rocio had custom Lucia Rocio on display designed specifically for John Jerry. Included was a sleek two-button suit in the N.Y. Giants colorway with John’s name and jersey number sewn into the interior of the jacket. D.J., on the other hand, had to get his measurements taken, so Rocio could get started on select wardrobe pieces for him. Also was a request by D.J. for a pair of John Geiger’s suede hi-top sneakers in a size 19.
