Saturday, amid the excitement that is New York Fashion Week, Russell Westbrook displayed a variety of True Religion’s designs to applauding fans and media alike.
After establishing his own line at Barney’s New York last year, the stylish NBA All Star is now serving as a campaign creative director at the high end fashion house, True Religion, with a Westbrook-envisioned mix of wardrobe options known as the Men’s Holiday 2015 line to be ready for purchase by the holiday season. Westbrook took to Manhattan over the weekend to build buzz for the partnership and to unveil the latest True Religion creations.
Among the clothing options that Westbrook showed off were fitted leather jackets, casual denim, and comfortable t-shirts, all in line with Westbrook’s energy and penchant for design. Renowned for his colorful personality and eye for style, the 26-year-old has quickly gained the reputation as a leading man in the sports fashion world, and as a result, True Religion has given him an increasing role in creative control regarding their products. Indeed, these True Religion designs that capture the modern fit and bold look that Westbrook channels off the court will likely make the new line a winner all season long. The merchandise officially launches this October.
