Many people don’t realize that having style is a way of life.
It extends way beyond your closet, past all of your accessories, your car and yes, even your curtains. It encompasses everything you use right down to your stationary.
That is why when I opened this month’s issue of Architectural Digest which features Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s 20 million dollar mansion, I knew I’d want to talk about it.
Being one of the most fashionable couples in the world,if not the most fashionable couple ever, they called upon designer Joan Behnke to create their dream home. “I like simplicity and coziness,” Bundchen tells the magazine. “I want to live in a place that feels like a real home, where you can put your feet up on the couch and just relax.”
And simplicity is what they got. In a not so typical “celebrity” home, the power couple went for a “country-chic” look and neutral colors. The mansion is located in Brentwood, California and is eco-friendly.
The house may be considered a let-down to some considering Gisele is the highest-paid model, and Tom is a future Hall of Famer and owner of three Superbowl rings. But I like the sophisticated simplicity of the decor.
Less really is more.
